FAQ
What is Transitly?
Transitly was born of a simple question: when is my next bus? Mobile versions of mass transit web sites and 3rd party applications and web sites are not smart phone optimized,
focus on trip planning, and can be hard to use. Transitly is meant to give everyday commuters one-click access to their schedules.
Why don't I see my city listed?
Transitly only uses agencies that have published their data publicly
via the
Google Transit Feed Specification.
If you see your transit agency on this list and would like it included, please
contact us.
If you do not see your city, please contact your transit agency and ask them to provide their data to the public via the
Google Transit Feed Specification.
Are these times up to date?
Transitly serves the time that buses and trains are to depart a given stop or station. The data is not predictive or real time. The schedules are updated from the transit
agencies' public feeds for seasonal changes, and are often updated several times in between. In the event that the data is not up to date, no timetable times will be
served to prevent inaccurate information, and it is advised to visit the transit agencies' web site.
Why is Transitly asking my for my location?
Transitly uses your location for usability in two cases. One, to order the timetables on the index page by what is closest to you currently.
Second, when you pick a stop or station, Transitly will scroll to what it thinks is the closest station to you. Your GPS coordinates are never sent to the Transitly servers;
rather, the locations of the stops are sent to your browser, which determines where the closest stop is relative to your current location.
The location is highly cached for performance reasons, so may be approximate.
In L.A., I don't see my route when I click the 'all' button. Why not?
Los Angeles uses a 'trip' and 'line' concept unique to this agency.

Users experiencing this issue should enter in the route in the text field provided. This may be resolved in a future version of Transitly.
